Red-masked Parakeet (Psittacara erythrogenys) The famous “Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill.” A green conure with a bright red mask, crown, and shoulder patches — native to coastal Ecuador and Peru but naturalized in San Francisco after decades of escaped and released pets formed a self-sustaining flock.
